Highland Golf Links has but nine holes situated out on the farthest reaches of Cape Cod headland, and would surely be more serviceable from the perspective of economic utility if it were a seaside resort or subdivided with vacation villas. Despite this oversight that capitalism will no doubt rectify in the coming era, the course makes for a splendid fall golf afternoon with authentic maintenance and a floral/faunal mix in the true spirit of the island’s origins. Combine those notable and scarce attributes with rolling terrain, Atlantic views, and a legitimate lighthouse, and we are even more the merry for the visit, to be sure.
