This video was shot the day before construction began on the Lehman course at the Prairie Club in Valentine, NE. It was a great pleasure working with Tom and Chris Brands. Both share my passion for golf course architecture and all of us who worked on the project are very proud of the work done there this summer.
Tom’s enthusiasm for anything related to golf, from green design to siting of the clubhouse, is evident in the fianl product at the Prairie Club. He and Chris decided to route the golf course in a way that was very different from how Bill Coore & Ben Crenshaw used the landscape at Sand Hills and Tom Doak did at Ballyneal. The course attacks the dunes and the result is a dramatic course that is still very playable due the course’s width.- WS

Do you know the ratio of hours spent at the bars in Valentine to the time spent in Valentine I have achieved.
Great video you can hear the wind blowing as he is talking about the golf experience at The Prairie Club. I can’t wait to see all these golf courses they will be spectacular because they have great land, a great team on the ground and management behind this project to make it this a great golf experience for any player.
Keep up the good work and I am ready to play The Prairie Club when it opens in the coming years.
